I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- listen and understand the information about daily routine activities (Monologue) & improve listening skill by doing some exercises

- talk about a day in the life a cyclo driver

II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS:

1. Knowledge:

- General knowledge: Listen and put the right number in each picture. Deciding on True (T) or False (F) statements.

- Language: Sentences related to daily routine.

- New words: Words related to the topic.

 2. Skills: Listening and numbering pictures.

III. METHOD: - Integrated, mainly communicative.

IV. TEACHING AIDS: - Tape, board, chalks, textbook.

V. PROCEDURES:

1. Class organization:

- Greeting

- Checking the attendance

2. Check up: (5’)

- T calls on one student to go to the board to talk about his/ her daily routines at home and at school

3. Presenting the new lesson:

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- T gives some questions and asks Ss to answer the questions
- Ss listen and answer
- Ss pay attention to teacher’s introduction
- T gathers all Ss’ ideas and introduces the new lesson to the whole class 
I. WARM UP (5’)
1. Where do you live? 
2. How far is it from your house to school?
3. How do you go to school?
4. Have you ever traveled by cyclo?
5. Is it interesting to travel by cyclo?
6. Which do you prefer, going by bicycle or by cyclo? Give reason(s)
- T writes some words on the board and gives their meanings
- Ss listen and take notes 
- T asks Ss to practice their pronouncing and checks Ss’ pronunciation in front of the class
in time allowed
 II. PRE - LISTENING (11’)
* Vocabulary:
- District (n) smaller than a province (Dak Mil district)
- Routine (n) a usual set of activities or way of doing things 
- Office (n) a work place
- Pedal (n, v) ( picture)
- Purchase ['pə:t∫əs](v) things a person buys 
- Passengers (n) a person who is traveling in a car, bus, plane
- Ride (v) to sit on a horse or bicycle while controlling its movements
- Park (n, v) an area of land = (v) stop
- Food stall (n) small booth, compartment or kiosk in a market where food is sold
- T explains the request of the exercise and plays the tape and then asks Ss to listen to Mr. Lam’s talk about his daily routine and number the pictures in their correct order
- T asks Ss to read and explain their answers and gives the right answers
- T corrects mistakes if necessary
- Ss practice their pronunciation
- Ss study the pictures and number the pictures 
- Ss read and explain the answers
- T asks Ss to read the statements carefully and plays the tape again
- Tasks Ss to listen to the tape again and decide whether the statements are true false
- T calls on some Sts to read and explain their answers and then corrects the mistakes
- Ss read the statements and make true or false
- Ss read and explain the answers
- T corrects mistakes if necessary
III. WHILE – LISTENING:
Task 1:. Pictures ordering ( 7’)

- T asks Ss to use the cues in order to ask and answer questions about Mr. Lam’s activities
- Ss ask and answer
- Ss pay attention to the corrections
- Ss retell the story in front of the class - - T goes around the class and call some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class
- T gives some comments and corrects some mistakes
- T asks Ss to gather all the information and retell the story in front of the class
IV. POST – LISTENING: (10’)
