The past perfect (10’)
* Form:
(+) S + had +V(pp) + O
(-) S + had not ( hadn’t) + V(pp) + O
(?) Had + S + V(pp) +O? 
→ Yes, S + had
→ No, S + hadn’t
Ex: + When I arrived at the club, the meeting had started
 + I had done all my homework before 7 p. m last night
* Expected Answers:
 To describe an action before another past action
To describe an action before a point of time in the past

Homework (2’)
T gives some words on the board and asks Ss to list all words which it belongs to: saw, hear, looked, written, done, go, gone, hit, slept, speak
T calls Ss to read their answers aloud
T corrects mistakes if necessary and introduce the new lesson to the whole class
T asks Ss to read all new words including /e / and / æ / 
T reads the words aloud and asks Ss to repeat chorally
T calls on some Ss to check their pronunciation 
T asks Ss to practice these sentences with a friend and calls on some Ss to read aloud
T corrects some mistakes and asks them to practice more at home
