I. OBJECTIVES:

1. Education aim: Students can ask and answer about the functions of the modern electric such as: Radio, TV, Fax machine, air conditioner.

2. Knowledge:

- General knowledge: Ask and answer about the information at school.

- Language: Students can talk about the profits of informatics technology in daily lives.

 3. Skills: Fluency in greeting. Role- playing.

II. METHOD: Mainly communicative.

III. TEACHING AIDS: Extra board.

- Let 2 students go to the board and answer the questions about the past perfect tense and make an example.

I. WARM – UP:
What is it?
1. TV; 2. fax machine; 3. air conditioner ; 4. radio

II. PRESENTATION: 
Task 1- Asking and answering
+ Can/ could you tell me what the radio is used for?
→ Well, it's used to listen to the news and learn foreign languages.
+ Can/ could you tell me what the TV is used for?
→ Well, it's used to watch football matches, and TV game shows.
+ Can/ could you tell me what the fax machine is used for?
→ Well, it's used to send and receive letters quickly.
+ Can/ could you tell me what the electric cooker is used for?
→ Well, it's used to cook rice and keep rice warm.
+ Can/ could you tell me what the air conditioner is used for?
→ Well, it's used to keep the air cool when it's hot and vice versa.
III. PRACTICE:
Task 2- Sentence completion
Information technology is very useful to our lives. It
allows us to :
1. Store very large amounts of information.
2. Transmit information quickly.
3. process information as soon as we receive it.
4. send messages from one computer to another.
5. hold long distance meetings in which the participants can see each other on a screen.
6. make use of central stores of information.
7. send TV progammes from other countries,
8. receive TV programmes from other countries.
9. design houses, bridges, gardens and buildings.
Task 3- Ordering
* Suggest some structures in discussion:
I think/ believe that the most important use of information technology is ............because.........
* WRAPPING:
- Summary the main points.
- Assign homework
- Divide class into two big teams: A and B.
- Give team A a list of 10 words about modern inventions:
 (Team A has to explain the words and team B has to guess what the word is.)
- Have Ss work in pairs: Ask and answer questions about the uses of modern inventions following the example.
Note that five intentions are in the above game.
- Call on some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class.
- Comment and give suggested answers:
- Keep Ss in pair and ask them to complete the sentences by using the words in the box.
- Ask Ss study the sentences carefully before deciding which words to be used.
- Call on some pair to read the sentences aloud in front of the class.
- Give correct answers:
- Have Ss work in group by joining two pairs. Ask them to look at the ideas in Task 2 and then rank them in order of importance.
- Encourage Ss to actively discuss in group to give the reasons to support their ideas and persuade the other that your order is the right one.
- Have Ss work in group and talk about their most favourite invention of our daily life.
- Call on some Ss to give a short talk about their favourite invention in front of the class.
- Comment on Ss' performance and make necessary corrections.
